VMI: URBAN AMERICA'S INTERNET PIONEERS

During the mid-90s, Nimble president MMG founded an experimental dot com  startup in the middle of one of Brooklyn's then poorest and roughest neighborhoods, Bedford-Stuyvesant. The company, named Virtual Melanin Inc (VMI), drew critical acclaim for its combination of new media prowess and urban futurist stylings. Aside from attracting high profile clients like filmmaker Spike Lee and hiphop mogul Sean "P-Diddy" Combs, VMI focussed on teaching Web development to inner-city children across the Bronx and Brooklyn.
